We also do taxi, PCV/bus, motor racing and most other fitness-to-drive and occupational medicals. See the full list.
- From £60 Standard HGV / LGV and PCV D4 medicals. The price may be higher for very urgent or very unsocial slots — we will tell you before you book.
- Unsocial hours are our speciality Early mornings, late evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, at a time that fits around your driving.
- Same or next day Often possible. Tell us when you need the form back by.
- Easy to reach Stapeley, Nantwich — about ten minutes from M6 junctions 15, 16 and 17. Free off-road parking.
- Experienced GPs Every medical is done by a practising, GMC-registered GP. Approved provider of HGV medicals to Ringway Jacobs / Cheshire East Highways.
- Companies and clubs Group rates, priority slots and centralised invoicing. We can come to you.
- Eye test included We do the eye test as part of the medical — no separate optician's fee for most drivers. Only a field-of-vision problem or a very complicated prescription needs an optician. Bring your driving glasses.
- Faster with the NHS App Set it up on your phone before you come: your medication and results are then to hand, and there's no second visit to chase paperwork. Ten-minute setup guide.
Who we serve
Drivers and employers across Nantwich, Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent, Northwich, Sandbach, Alsager, Haslington, Willaston, Wybunbury, Audlem, Whitchurch and the surrounding parts of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. If you can get to the M6 or the A500 you can get to us.
How to book
- Use the booking form or email admin@hgvmedicals-cheshire.co.uk. Say which medical you need, roughly when you would like it, and whether it is urgent.
- We reply with available times, confirm the price, and send precise directions to the surgery.
- Bring the items on the what-to-bring list — especially your glasses and a recent opticians' prescription if you wear spectacles to drive — and set up the NHS App on your phone so your medication and results are to hand. The medical takes about 20–30 minutes.
- You leave with the completed form and a receipt if you want one.
Not sure which medical you need? Just ask. If it is something we don't do (for example aviation medicals) we will say so straight away rather than waste your time.
